What's On This Weekend: Aug 18-20

From boats to airplanes and robots to spiders, there is a bustling weekend of fantastic fun unfolding across Southwest Michigan. It's also the perfect time to hike the trails, pick blackberries and peaches, hit up the beach or knock some other items off your summer bucket list.

  • Go on a spider hunt and learn all about spiders from a naturalist at the DeGraaf Nature Center in Holland

  • Greet American veterans as they return from their Operation Injured Soldiers fishing expeditions in a memorable boat procession and salute

  • Cozy up for a family-friendly movie under the stars at Whirlpool Centennial Park in St Joe


  • Get free admission, snacks and activities at the Air Zoo's Flight Discovery Center from 12- pm

  • Celebrate the opening of a new nature-centric art exhibit at the Liberty Bailey Hyde Museum in South Haven with a kid-friendly wine and cheese reception
