What's On This Weekend: November 17-19

Do you ever catch yourself complaining about time flying or the weather and then realize you are now one thousand years old and that "crotchety" is quickly becoming an apt descriptor? Me neither.

But (*tiptoes in anyway*) doesn't it feel like was just Halloween and already you can sneeze at Thanksgiving? I hung snowflakes in the windows at work today. Where is our breather?

What I'm saying, friends, is that you should brace yourselves for what's coming up. Santa is coming...tomorrow. So is Superman, actually. And Alice on Sunday. Keep reading for the full scoop and say hello to the holiday madness.

FRIDAY

  • Check out the amazing model trains and layouts of the Holland Modular Railroad Club at the South Haven Center for the Arts (through Sunday)

  • Watch action-packed battle to defend the universe from evil when Marvel Universe LIVE! Age of Heroes hits the stage in GR (through Sunday)

  • Stroll through the beautiful candlelit streets as 1,000 luminaries light the way in downtown St. Joseph during the Luminary Festival

SATURDAY

  • Enjoy a front row seat to the spectacular parade kicking off the Battle Creek Festival of Lights illumination display (through Dec 16)

  • Tuck into a delicious buffet breakfast alongside the DC Super Heroes at Burdick's in Kzoo

  • Enter a massive winter wonderland full of games, treats, grafts and fabulous characters during the Kids' Christmas Carnival at LMC

  • Bring your pint-sized dinosaur lover to the Herrick District Library in Holland to explore all things dinosaur during DINOvember

SUNDAY
