Who else is counting down the days until summer break? We have been struggling to get out of bed every morning, even with the earlier sunrises, and the only light on the horizon is an end to the bleary-eyed Monday through Friday routine in exchange for lazy mornings on the beach. If there ever was a weekend designed to get outdoors and soak up the fresh air and glorious sunshine, this is it. Not only will the temperatures be perfect after ALL THAT SNOW, but Earth Day is here and there's no shortage of planet-friendly activities to partake in. We'll be teaming up with the Bailey Museum and Forever Curious Children's Museum to create fun works of art using flowers, twigs, pinecones and other objects found in nature. We'll probably all be elated to get outdoors and reconnect with Mother Nature this weekend after the recent snow spell, which works out wonderfully because it's Earth Day and there's plenty of outdoor enrichment to be had across Southwest Michigan.
