The Van Buren County Youth Fair is well underway, and that's typically the one that we've gone to in recent years because it's close, it's small and the kids seem to have basically the best time ever. Fun Fourth Of July Treats & DIY Firework Sidewalk Chalk

We finally got our act together around here and did a couple of things to celebrate Independence Day. Red, white and blue flower crowns -- major fail. But the other two activities turned out swimmingly. Fourth of July Fruit Skewers It's hard to top last year's watermelon and blueberry wands, but we upped the ante this time around with star-shaped marshmallows and they were a smash success. Gone in 30 seconds. There was begging for more. All you need is a small star cookie cutter for the marshmallows (cut them in half and dust the cut side with powdered sugar to cut down on the stickiness) and some wooden skewers. Thread those babies together and devour them with gusto. They've got fruit. T
